Clementines are often found in Spain, they known for taste and nutritional benefits, however, they are only around or a short period of time from November to March.

Clementines are a good source of vitamin C, folate, fibre and potassium. They also are a tasty and convenient way to boost antioxidant intake. If you’re not a fruit person, try dipping clementines in a chocolate fondue.

Tips to buying the best Clementines:
  • The skin should be bright and shiny with a pleasant citrus smell and no hint of mustiness.
  • The fruit should be firm, with a slight give, which indicates juiciness.
  • Look out for a brilliant orange colour, not pale yellow.
  • Check for consistent colour throughout the crate, this will show if the fruit was picked at the same level of maturity.
  • In general, the smaller the Clementine, the sweeter it is.
