What's your earliest memory?
Falling off my granddad's motorbike in India when I was there on holiday aged about 2 years old! OUCH!

Favourite place in the world?
Costa Rica – Went there on holiday in the spring 2007. An absolutely phenomenal place! Pura Vida!
I also love London. I feel it's one of the most amazing cities in the world.

Which song can you listen to over and over again?
WOW... very difficult question... couldn't pick just one... but would definitely say "Get By – Talib Kweli" is up there

Any special qualifications/achievements that you are proud of?
I'm really humbled every time I reflect on all the opportunities I've been blessed with in music. From having toured the world with huge artists, entertaining colossal crowds all over the globe to great family and friends supporting my efforts. Most of all I'm thankful to God for gifting me with creative ability and for giving the gift of music to the world. "Music is my heart & soul , more precious than gold" "Put on some music" - Marvin Gaye (Erick Sermon – Music)

What was your first job?
Junior IT Technician for Tempo (don't sign on the dotted line... 'til you talk to Tempo). Obviously I made a spectacular impact on the firm's success as they went bankrupt a few years back.

What would be your dream job?
I'd be a music producer working on the latest beat for Jay Z.

How did you get started in radio?
I put together an energetic and fun demo with a friend and sent it out to a few radio stations (bribes enclosed). The opportunity came up to present a trial show on AsianFx. Battled through the initial nerves and went on to really enjoy the experience. I'm guessing the trial and bribe went down well as I now present The JAM on weekend evenings! Happy days!

Best on-air moment?
Opening The Jam Show every Friday, Saturday & Sunday on AsianFx... the energy is electric and the response from our listeners is fantastic! Love it! Oh... and flirting with Kajol during an interview in the run up to the release of You, Me Aur Hum.

Worst on-air moment? (Embarrassing or otherwise)
Aaah... introducing a supposedly "clean version" of a hip hop track only to hear endless obscenities blaring out aggressively from the studio monitors! PANIC!

Describe a typical working day?
Always lots going on and even more to do... but enjoy almost every minute of it. Pura Vida!

What's your ambition?
To produce at least one album or track which will touch the heart of even just one person. To just give back a little something to music in return for everything it's given me

Best advice that you've been given and why?
Pura Vida – It translates to Pure Life in Spanish. It's a great lesson I learnt in Costa Rica. Money comes and money goes as do most material things. Appreciate life itself and you're richer than most.

Do you have any special hobbies and interests?
I produce music for a number of great artists and also enjoy mixing, cutting and scratching on my turntables whenever time allows. I find relaxation in photography when the weather's good too!

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with and why?
Jay Z, Panjabi MC & Whitney Houston because they've all inspired me with their music and besides it'd be one legendary Jam session. Oh and Deepika Padukone because she's just straight up stunning! For a comic twist how great would it be to have Borat there too! It's niiiiiiice! I liiiiiiike! There is many peoples in a lift please! Hi fiiiiiive! HAHA!

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start a career in radio?
Put together a good demo. There are loads of great online resources offering advice on this. Be open to criticism, and use it constructively to improve yourself. Push your demo everywhere and to everyone, and expect rejection from some. If you want it enough, you'll stick with it and definitely get your break. Just don't take your foot off the gas and you'll soon find opportunities around every corner. Good Luck!
